Opening Hours and other details Coombe Valley Callington is open from 7.15 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday all year round. It cares for children from birth to school age and offers home cooked meals.   The nursery closes from Christmas to New Year and on Bank Holidays and offers parents the opportunity to book up to four weeks holiday during the year without charge. Callington operates an hourly booking and charging system to allow you to choose your session times. The nursery offers free places to children from the beginning of the term after their third birthday. The free 15 hours per week during term times may be taken flexibly within certain limits set by the grant system.    The nursery building at Callington is an exciting and stylish design.  The main nursery is open plan, light and airy with extensive ancillary rooms.  The building has many innovative eco-friendly features such as air source heat pump underfloor heating.  The outdoor space opens immediately off the main play rooms and there is an additional wild outdoor area for children to explore.  This nursery has a convenient car park and is completely accessible throughout. Its position makes it convenient for work in Callington or commuting to Plymouth. Natalie Bewes is our manager at Coombe Valley Callington.  Natalie holds level 3 and level 4 childcare qualifications, a BSc and also holds level 6 Early Years Professional Status, which is equivalent to the status of  teacher but specific to children aged 0-5.  All other staff hold level 3 or above and Natalie’s deputy, Wendy Hirst, holds a level 4 certificate and is working towards her degree.  Natalie has worked with us for a good number of years, and was previously the supervisor at the Old Tree Nursery.  Natalie is a strongly reflective practitioner who is always looking to improve the work of the nursery.
