The outstanding nursery at Launceston College has just been rebuilt.  It is situated just at the Hurdon Road entrance to Launceston College.  It is a deceptively spacious, low-profile, fully- accessible modern building which offers three light and airy play areas, a sleep room and all the necessary storage and ancillary rooms.  The playrooms open straight out onto the level garden and there is now a sheltered area immediately outside so that all activities can be carried on indoors or outdoors. The nursery has its own parking and drop off area at the entrance to the college. This nursery is particularly convenient for Launceston town, commuting to Plymouth or via the A30. Opening Hours and other details Coombe Valley Launceston College is open from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday all year round. It cares for children from birth to school age, with a few places for returning children up to age 8.  It offers hot meals from the school kitchens in term times.   The nursery closes from Christmas to New Year and on Bank Holidays and offers parents the opportunity to book up to four weeks holiday during the year without charge. The nursery operates an hourly booking and charging system to allow you to choose your session times, and offers free places to children from the beginning of the term after their third birthday. The free 15 hours per week during term times may be taken flexibly within certain limits set by the grant system.  Coombe Valley Launceston College works closely with the Children’s Centre teacher at Launceston Integrated Children’s Centre.  Emma Garland is our longest serving member of childcare staff, having been with us for more than a decade.  Starting as a nursery nurse, she has  gained a level 4 Certificate in Early Years Practice and previous took on the role of group manager.  Emma is a very calm and organised practitioner who has a good rapport with both chidren and parents.  Emma is the manager at Launceston and is assisted by Emma Williams, a qualified teacher who is also working towards her Early Years Professional Status
